I recently had the honour of winning the category “Young Search Professional” at the European Search Awards 2017, which was voted for by over 40 industry experts.
4+ years experience, working with small, to large scale international businesses. With a proven track record of success and client retention.
Throughout my experiences I have learnt a great deal about SEO (search engine optimisation) and what actually works! I enjoy diving into data, and pinpointing where a business can expand their current market share, along with highlighting new opportunities.
This has led me onto constructing data driven digital marketing strategies; to help increase clients organic presence and revenue within search engines.
I’m also an avid graphic designer, aspiring to create aesthetically pleasing brands along with functional website design in order to help increase user engagement.
Search Engine Optimisation
Search engine optimisation (SEO), simply put, is optimising your website for relevant, common searched for keywords to appear higher in search engines, such as Google. This enables the website to get more traffic without paying for it, which is done by following Google’s best practice guidelines & building highly relevant, authoritative backlinks into your website. Each industry has varying levels of difficulty based on the competition within that niche.
Pay Per Click (PPC)
PPC is a form of marketing in which advertisers pay a price each time one of their ads is clicked, which is determined by the competition on that keyword. In effect, it’s a way of buying visits to your site, rather than attempting to earn those visits organically. Without proper research within your niche, there can be a lot of trial & error until you find the right keywords that provide a decent ROI. The most common platform used for PPC is Google AdWords.
Anyone can build a website, but to stand out from your competition you need a specialist. A good website should be structured in a way to make your users convert with ease, whether you need leads or sales, user experience (UX) should be a top priority. Using open-source content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress, clients can easily edit & publish up to date content for their user base simply while maintaining a professional appearance.
Data & Analytics
Interpreting marketing data from several sources into actionable steps can become a very daunting task, especially knowing which channels will make the most ROI. Using this data to make informed decisions about the direction of your business should be an invaluable asset to utilise. Creating a strategic digital marketing plan to grow your business revenue is something that you should look into if you are unsure of where to focus your marketing budget.
Graphic Design & Illustration
Developing a brand that resonates with your business values is a tricky process that often needs multiple iterations before being perfect, which is totally understandable as this is how you will perceived online. Once you have your fundamental brand guidelines in place, you can stay consistent across all your online platforms such as your website & social media. This helps build a sense of community through the medium of design & illustration.
Local Business Optimsation
Having a competitive local business is hard enough without thinking about your online opportunities. A relatively quick & cost effective way to appear more prominent within your area is to consider local SEO. What this does is connect local people to your business through them searching for relevant services you offer. Which is done by optimising a Google My Business account, along with building local citations & gaining reviews from your customers.
